Abigail Holcomb

Founder & Director

Abigail founded Ballet Adora soon after moving to the Nashville area in 2013. She began her ballet training at the age of 5 with Master’s Academy in Lawrenceville, Ga and was trained in the Cecchetti method of classical ballet and pointe at The Studio School of the Arts near Atlanta where she also became an assistant teacher at a young age. She then trained at Dance Arts Inc in Valdosta, GA founded & directed by Linda C. Chase who formerly studied under George Balanchine at the School of American Ballet.

After moving to KY in 2010 she took ballet, pointe, and pilates at Missy’s Gymnastics & Dance where she also taught & choreographed. She then studied ballet and pointe at Wilmore Christian Ballet located in Wilmore, KY. She also began organizing and teaching her own classes at Somerset Family Fitness Center in 2012 where she taught classes until moving to TN in 2013.

In 2016 she took part in Ballet Magnificat’s Teacher Workshop in Jackson, MS studying the Vaganova method of ballet and gaining insight into teaching and directing a growing school. She returned to Ballet Magnificat in 2017 to take part in their rigorous 4-week Summer Dance Intensive which takes place at Belhaven University.

She has written and directed Ballet Adora’s full-length ballets, Hinds’ Feet on High Places in 2019, The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe in 2021, Christy in 2022, celebrated Ballet Adora’s 10th anniversary show in 2023, and co-created The Sound of Music with Assistant Director Brooklyn Wheatley in 2024.

She loves combining creativity with entrepreneurship and enjoys teaching all levels from toddlers to advanced dancers. She’s grateful to see the dreams God placed in her heart as an 18 year old flourish beyond expectation!
