What is the dress code? For women the dress code is a black leotard, pink or black tights, pink or nude ballet shoes with optional pink or black skirt. Hair is worn in a bun or if it’s too short to put in a bun, just pulled back securely from the face. Dancers should bring comfy shirts, shorts or pants, and socks to be worn over leotard for contemporary. No jewelry apart from small earrings please.
For men the dress code is comfortable black shorts, a white shirt, and black ballet shoes. Comfortable sweatshirts, pants, and socks can be worn for contemporary.
Do dancers have to be en pointe? No! Our upper division of dancers will be dancing en pointe but it is not a requirement to participate.
Do I need to pack a lunch? Yes! While we’ll have some snacks throughout the week it’s important for dancers to pack a high protein lunch & a water bottle.
How is this different from Summer Dance Camp? This allows much more time to focus on honing in on new skills & technique. This is designed to take your technique, endurance, & artistic ability to the next level. It’s going to offer intensive physical and spiritual training to push you to become the dancer & person God created you to be.
Do I need to purchase any materials beforehand? No, all devotional, art, and exercise materials will be provided by Ballet Adora.
